Social Sciences AMR Paris Conference 2026

Outside the infectious box : Rethinking AMR together with social sciences

📅 June 18–19, 2026, 📍 Université Paris Dauphine – PSL

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is one of the most urgent global health challenges. Addressing it requires going beyond strictly biomedical perspectives and drawing on insights from the social sciences to better understand the social, cultural, economic, and political dimensions that shape antimicrobial use and the emergence of resistance.

Join us to explore innovative approaches, discover ongoing research projects, and engage in interdisciplinary dialogue on antimicrobial resistance.

This international conference is particularly aimed at researchers, practitioners, policymakers, as well as students interested in tackling some of the major challenges of AMR.

Through plenary sessions, roundtables, and informal discussions, you will have the opportunity to rethink existing analytical frameworks and develop new perspectives to combat antimicrobial resistance.
