To meet the challenges of antibiotic resistance, Charlotte Brives (an anthropologist of science and medicine) "proposes a solution: phage therapy. In other words, the use of bacteriophage viruses to treat patients suffering from resistant bacteria. Although these treatments are not yet available, they may soon be, and Charlotte Brives advocates public development, without going through the pharmaceutical industry, which imposes a financialization of medicine."
